How NSPEC Construction collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us.

Who we are

NSPEC Construction Ltd is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. Our registered office is Sterling House, 6-10 St Georges Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 4DP.

If you have any question about how we handle your data, contact us at info@nspec.co.uk or on 0800 987 5700.

What information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect the information you choose to give us. That is normally your name, telephone number, email address, the postcode of the property and a description of the work you are considering.

We also collect limited technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand which pages are useful.

  • Name and contact details
  • Property address or postcode
  • Details of the work you are enquiring about
  • Correspondence between us
  • Technical and usage data

Why we use it and on what basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation or schedule of works, to carry out any contract you enter into with us and to keep records required for insurance, warranty and building control purposes.

Our lawful basis is either that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, that it is necessary to perform a contract with you, or that it is in our legitimate interests to respond to enquiries and manage our business. Where we rely on legitimate interests we have balanced those against your rights.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing purposes.

Where it is necessary to deliver your project we may share relevant details with our partner architects, structural engineers, building control bodies, party wall surveyors, suppliers and our insurers. We share only what those parties need and we require them to protect it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed to a project are kept for up to two years and then deleted.

Records relating to completed projects are kept for longer, because construction work carries statutory limitation periods and warranty obligations. We retain project records for the period required to defend a claim and to satisfy our insurers and any applicable warranty provider.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working correctly.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to be told what data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to erase it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email info@nspec.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.

This policy is provided for general information about how we handle data on this website. It is not legal advice, and you should have it reviewed by a solicitor before publication if you need certainty for your circumstances.
