What happens after you get in touch
We will call you back to talk through the property and what you have in mind, and to ask the questions that determine whether a site visit is worth both our time. That call usually tells us most of what we need to know.
If it looks viable we arrange a free feasibility visit. We look at the structure, the services and the constraints on the address, including whether it sits in a conservation area or has had permitted development rights removed. You then receive a written schedule of works with a cost breakdown itemised by trade. None of that costs you anything and none of it commits you.
What to have ready
You do not need drawings or a specification to talk to us. What helps is knowing the age and type of the property, roughly what you want to achieve and whether you have any fixed constraints on timing or budget.
If you already have architects drawings, planning decisions or structural calculations, send them over. If you do not, our partner architects and engineers can produce them as part of the project.
Frequently asked questions
Is the quote really free?
Yes. The consultation, the feasibility visit and the written schedule of works with its cost breakdown all cost you nothing and commit you to nothing. We would rather spend the time up front than have you appoint us on a figure that turns out to be wrong.
How quickly can you start?
It depends on the scope and on our current programme. Smaller works such as a bathroom can often start within a few weeks. Anything requiring planning consent, structural design or party wall notices carries a lead in of six to twelve weeks before work begins on site. We will give you honest dates rather than optimistic ones.
Do you charge for a site visit?
No, not within our coverage area of Fulham, Chelsea, Putney, Wandsworth, Battersea, Hammersmith, Kensington and Wimbledon. Outside that radius call us and we will discuss it.
