An NHBC registered construction company with a settled in-house team and a long standing group of partner architects, engineers and designers.

Who we are
NSPEC Construction is an NHBC registered construction company with a long term trusted team of partner architects, engineers, consultants and designers.
We offer professional commercial and residential construction services at highly competitive prices. With over ten years of experience, we are quality focused and pride ourselves on the attention to detail we bring to both domestic and commercial projects.
What we bring to a project
What NHBC registration means for you
NHBC is the largest warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK, and registration is not automatic. Registered builders are assessed on their financial standing, their technical competence and their track record, and they are subject to ongoing inspection.
For you it means an independent body has looked at how we build, and that the standards we work to are externally defined rather than self declared. It is one of the more meaningful pieces of evidence available when you are trying to judge a builder you have not used before.
How we are structured
We run an integrated in-house team rather than assembling a different set of subcontractors for each job. The carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterers and tilers who work on your property are the people we work with continuously, and they know how we expect things to be done.
Around that core sits a long standing group of partner architects, structural engineers, consultants and designers. That gives you drawings, calculations, consent applications and construction from a single accountable source, rather than a chain of separate appointments where the gaps between them become your problem.
- One project manager per job, contactable directly
- Core trades employed and continuously engaged
- Partner architects and structural engineers
- Direct trade accounts with suppliers
- Weekly written progress reporting
- Full certification issued at handover
How we price
Every project starts with a free consultation and a free written schedule of works. The schedule sets out what will be done, in what order, with a cost breakdown itemised by trade so you can see the plastering separately from the electrics.
You pay a ten per cent deposit to secure your slot in the programme. After that you pay us as the work progresses, against the stages written into the schedule. Variations are priced in writing and approved by you before we act on them. There are no open ended day rates.
Where we work
We are based at Sterling House on St Georges Road in Wimbledon, and we cover Fulham, Chelsea, Putney, Wandsworth, Battersea, Hammersmith, Kensington and Wimbledon.
We keep that radius deliberately tight. A short travel distance means a project manager can be on your site the same day a decision is needed, materials arrive when the programme says they will and our teams are not spending their mornings crossing London. We do take work beyond these areas where the scope justifies it, so it is always worth asking.
Insurance and cover
We carry £10m employers liability cover for every operative on site and £5m public and products liability. Certificates are available on request and are issued as part of your handover pack alongside the electrical certification, gas safety documentation and building control completion certificate.
That paperwork matters beyond the job itself. It is what your solicitor will ask for when you sell, and missing certification for structural or notifiable work is one of the more common things that delays a sale in south west London.
Frequently asked questions
How long have you been trading?
Over ten years, delivering both domestic and commercial construction. In that time we have built a settled in-house team and a long standing group of partner architects, engineers and designers who work with us continuously rather than job to job.
Do you subcontract the work?
The core trades are our own team, working with us continuously. Specialist work such as structural engineering, and certain specialist finishes, comes from partners we have used for years. What you will not get is a different set of faces each week depending on who was available.
Can we see previous projects?
Yes. We can show you completed work and, where clients are willing, arrange for you to speak to them directly. There is no better due diligence on a builder than talking to somebody who has already been through a project with them.
What areas do you cover?
Fulham, Chelsea, Putney, Wandsworth, Battersea, Hammersmith, Kensington and Wimbledon as our core radius from the Wimbledon office. We take on projects beyond that where the scope justifies it, so call us and ask.
Want to talk to us about a project?
The first consultation is free and so is the written schedule of works. Tell us what you have in mind and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
